I'm Alex Aundrey, a beta reader and editor working across fantasy, thriller, mystery, romance, and horror. My job isn't to tell you your book is good. It's to tell you exactly how a real reader experiences it, chapter by chapter, so you can make it better.
Most feedback authors get is either too vague to act on or too polite to be useful. I built my process to solve that: track genuine engagement as it happens, then translate it into notes you can actually use before your book reaches its next reader — an agent, an editor, or the audience it's written for.
As I read, I log where my attention holds and where it drifts — noting the exact page or scene where pacing shifts, confusion creeps in, or an emotional beat actually lands.
Every stall gets a note: is it a pacing problem, a clarity problem, or a setup that hasn't paid off yet? I mark cliffhangers and hooks the same way, so you know exactly what's working and why.
All of it gets distilled into a manuscript-level report: what's driving reader investment, where momentum breaks, and specific, prioritized suggestions — never vague praise, never a wall of unstructured notes.
